In early September, China Telecom and China Unicom jointly signed the 5G Network Co-Construction and Sharing Framework Cooperation Agreement. According to the content of the 5G Network Co-Construction and Sharing Framework Cooperation Agreement, China Telecom and China Unicom will cooperate to build a 5G access network nationwide for the 200MHz 5G band (3400MHz-3600MHz) of 3.5GHz.  

Beijing, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Qingdao and Shijiazhuang are the five cities in the northern part of China. The proportion of construction areas between China Unicom and China Telecom is 6 to 4, while in 10 southern cities, including Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Changsha, Wuhan and Chengdu, the proportion between China Unicom and China Telecom construction areas is 4 : 6. 

China Unicom independently undertakes the construction of 9 prefectures and cities in Guangdong Province, 5 prefectures and cities in Zhejiang Province and 8 northern provinces ( namely, Hebei, Henan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shandong and Shanxi) outside the above-mentioned areas. 

China Telecom will independently undertake the construction of 10 prefectures and cities in Guangdong Province, 5 prefectures and cities in Zhejiang Province and 17 southern provinces outside the above-mentioned areas. 

As a result, a 5G access network covering the whole country is formed.
