On August 7, 2020, the 35th Round of Telecommunication Development Industry Alliance (TDIA) Council Meeting was kickoff in Yanxi Hotel, the north eastern suburb of Beijing. Directors of TD Industry Alliance, authorized representatives of directors, authorized representatives of supervisors, the Secretary-General and secretariat staff attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the work in the first half of 2020 and the work plan in the second half of 2020, as well as the matters related to Zhongguancun Ubiquitous -Connected Mobile Communication Technology Innovation and Application Research Institute were reviewed and approved. Issues such as how to stimulate the application vitality of the 5G industry and what changes will occur in the terminals in the 5G era were discussed. Delegates attending the meeting expressed that in the 5G era, it is even more necessary to cooperate and overcome many difficulties together to empower the digital society.

Zhongguancun Ubiquitous-connected  Mobile Communication Technology Innovation and Application Research Institute is an innovative R&D institution for 5G industry breakthrough under the guidance of Zhongguancun Management Committee and jointly initiated by China Mobile, TD Industry Alliance (TDIA) and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). The purpose is to solve the technology and differentiation problems in "5G+ application scenarios ", to work as a docking platform for the integration of 5G in vertical industries, build a new generation communication technology application innovation system in Beijing city, and accelerate the deep integration of the new generation communication technology and economic development in Beijing.
