[TDIA Report]  At the MWCS Shanghai Mobile World Congress last week, the gratifying achievements in  China's 5G technology development and commercialization became an international recognition.  The cumulative number of 5G base stations deployed in China has exceeded 718,000, accounting for about 70% of the world. The stand-alone 5G network has covered about all the cities in China. The number of 5G terminals connected has exceeded 200 million, and the number of 5G smartphones listed in China market has reached 218. Xiao Yaqing, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, once said that in 2021, China will continue to promote the construction and application of 5G, targeting to have more than 600,000 new base stations.

At the same time, China's 5G application innovation continued to deepen, and the exploration of 5G applications in consumer sectors such as culture, sports, entertainment, live events and residential services was accelerated. 5G+4K/8K was put into use in CCTV Spring Festival Gala and the 5G application scenarios in vertical industries such as mining, medical care, port and manufacturing became increasingly clear and began to be replicated on a large scale.

Yang Jie, Chairman of China Mobile, delivered a keynote speech online entitled "Accelerating Integration and Innovation, Opening the Future of Digital Intelligence". Sharing China Mobile's development strategy: the overall goal is to create a world-class enterprise and become the main force of China as the network power, digital power and smart society; Making clear the mainstream of CMCC development, that is, to promote the transformation of digital intelligence and achieve high-quality development. He proposed, together with all stakeholders, to Jointly explore the information service market and release the information consumption potential of the whole society; Jointly accelerate technological innovation breakthroughs and inject strong endogenous power into the transformation of intelligence; Jointly empower the development of the real economy and promote the quality and efficiency of thousands of industries; Jointly cultivate an open and integrated ecology and realize the common prosperity and progress of the whole industry; Work together to strengthen the construction of safety system and build a safety barrier for the stability of industrial chain, supply chain and ecological chain.

Ke Ruiwen, Chairman of China Telecom, emphasized three adherences in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony, namely, cloud network collaboration, co-construction and sharing, and user security. It is mentioned that 5G is still in the initial stage of development, and there are still many problems to be solved in many aspects such as network, terminal, application and operation, and the key to solve these problems is to be “Connected Impact”, harmoniously collaboration and  symbiosis. The cooperation between  China Telecom and China Unicom has built the world's largest co-construction and sharing network.

Wang Xiaochu, Chairman of China Unicom, delivered an online speech entitled "Combining science and technology edges and creating a better digital new era". China Unicom has built the world's largest 5G SA network through joint construction and network sharing, and guarded human harmony and symbiosis through new technologies and applications such as 5G, AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Data and IoT. Looking forward to 2021 and the future, we will give full play to the endowment of enterprises  like us with massive centralized data,  take lead of the big data and accelerate the promotion of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization.

Song Qizhu, Chairman of China Broadcasting Network, shared the thinking and planning of the new operator on 5G at the 2021 GTI Industry Summit. In the future, China Broadcasting Network will practice the " circle center strategy" and carry out the 3+X business planning of "5G, media content, cable TV broadband and innovative business". First, build a safe, credible, green, reliable, agile and intelligent 5G simplized network with a high starting point and high standards, and continue to build a 5G best network. Second, build a new video platform that runs through the whole process of production, distribution and consumption, promote the integration of "technology+art+humanities", and lead the video to a new high. Third, around the 5G end-to-end industrial chain on 700MHz, we will join hands with partners to create a prosperous ecology., based on 5G NR broadcasting and multicast and various innovative businesses.
