Deutsche Telekom announced that it has launched its 5G mobile network service in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Bonn and Darmstadt with a bandwidth of up to 1GB per second， enough to download a movie to a smartphone in a matter of seconds.

In addition, Deutsche Telekom said it would launch 5G services in Hamburg and Leipzig by the end of 2019 and cover 20 German cities by the end of 2020.
