The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission of China issued a Three-Year Action Plan for information consumption this August, in which the scale of information consumption will reach 6 trillion yuan in 2020.

The issuance of the Three-Year Action Plan for Expanding and Upgrading Information Consumption (2018-2020) stated,  in order to thoroughly implement the “Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Further Expanding and Upgrading the Information Consumption and Sustaining the Potential of Domestic Demand,” we will vigorously promote the development of information consumption，deepen the driving force of economic development, and formulate the action plan which requires all parties to implement  in a practical manner.

One of the basic guiding principles of the Action Plan mentioned is to adhere to multi-party linkage and coordinated development, take enterprises as the main body strengthening the cooperation between industry, academia and research institutes, promote the coordinated development of the industrial chain, build a sound information consumption ecosystem, and expand the coverage of information consumption.
