On September 3, the Seventh Jiangsu Internet Conference was held at the Nanjing International Expo Center. At the meeting, the Jiangsu Provincial Communications Administration released the development of the Internet and 5G in the province. At present, the 5G network in Jiangsu Province takes the independent network (SA) as the target architecture, and initially adopts the non-independent network (NSA) architecture, focusing on the network deployment in Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi.  By August 2019, there were 5423 5G base stations in the province. It is planned that the number of 5G base stations in the province will reach 10800 by the end of 2019 and 55000 by the end of 2020.
