The Shenzhen Municipal Government issued "Shenzhen Municipality on taking the lead in achieving full coverage of 5G Infrastructure and promoting the High quality Development of 5G Industry", proposing that by the end of 2019, 15000 5G base stations were built in the city. 

By the end of August 2020, that is, the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Economic Zone, a total of 45000 5G base stations will have been built, taking the lead in achieving full coverage of the 5G network in the cities nationwide. By that time, the construction density of Shenzhen will reach 22.5 basestaions per square kilometer, leading the country in construction density.

Shenzhen 5G base station exceeded 10000 on September 26

Shenzhen 10000 5G base station was completed in Huaqiang North Block and Huaqiang North Block to achieve 5G full coverage.

At present, Shenzhen has realized the continuous coverage of 5G signals in Futian Central District, Nanshan Science and Technology Park, Baoan Central District, and other areas.

According to the plan, by 2020, Shenzhen will build a total of 45000 5G base stations to achieve full coverage of the city's 5G network.
