At the closing ceremony of the 2019 World 5G Convention this November, the deputy director general of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology issued the White Paper on the Development of Beijing 5G Industry (2019). 

According to the whitepaper plan, in the future, Beijing will promote the landing of 5G application projects, strengthen the co-construction and sharing of 5G infrastructure, and establish a special guarantee fund for 5G development. Referring to the official remarks, at present, the development of the 5G industry in Beijing has established a number of typical application demonstration zones in the fields of intelligent transportation, intelligent healthcare, and ultra-high definition video. These demonstration areas have played an important role in the industry and achieved remarkable results. Industrial ecology is gradually taking shape.

Beijing will promote the Development of 5G Industry from seven aspects in the next step: 

First, to promote the landing of major 5G application projects; 

Second, to create an innovation platform for 5G key areas;

Third, strengthen the planning and construction of 5G infrastructure, strengthen the co-construction and sharing of 5G infrastructure;

Fourth, improve the management of 5G network construction; 

Fifth, establish a special guarantee fund for 5G development;

Sixth, plan the implementation scheme of 5G application scenario, especially in the field of intelligent transportation to set up intelligent travel platform and provide data support; 

Seventh, carry out 5G international exchange and experience sharing.
