The 2021 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit was co-sponsored by the National Network Information Office and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and opened on September 26th in Wuzhen, Zhejiang.

The theme of the conference is "Towards a New Era of Digital Civilization-Building a Community of Cyberspace Destiny Together". The purpose of the summit is to showcase the outstanding Internet technologies, products and applications at home and abroad, and promote exchanges and cooperation. President Xi Jinping pointed out in his congratulatory delivery to Wuzhen Summit that digital technology is being fully integrated into all fields and the whole process of human economic, political, cultural, social and ecological civilization construction with new ideas, new formats and new models, which has brought extensive and profound impacts on human production and life. The changes in the world in the past century and the epidemic situation in the century are intertwined, so the international community urgently needs to join hands, conform to the development trend of informationization, digitalization, networking and intelligence, seize opportunities and meet challenges.

According to insiders comments, Wuzhen Global Internet Summit has been held above ten years. If Barcelona Mobile World Congress focuses on hardware display, Wuzhen world internet conference focuses on the dialogue and exchange of "intelligent minds".

The Light of Internet Expo this year will focus on setting up development concept area, comprehensive display area, special exhibition area and new product and technology release area. 343 Chinese and foreign enterprises including Huawei, Alibaba, Baidu, Kaspersky Lab, Infosys, Epson, Zhijiang Lab, China Electronics, China Telecom, China Mobile, ZTE, Qianxin, Zhongke Shuguang, etc. displayed cutting-edge black technology at the Expo, among which 42 were overseas enterprises.
